An exhibition of six book publishing portraits, painted in oils by Michael O’Brien, founder of The O’Brien Press.
In the 1980s, a group of publishers formed Irish Book Sales, a partnership between O’Brien (Michael O’Brien), Mercier (John Spillane), Wolfhound (Seamus Cashman) and Blackstaff (Anne Tannahill) presses. The main object was to stimulate international sales, particularly in Britain, USA, Canada, and Scotland. The current and previous directors of Publishing Scotland, Marion Sinclair and Lorraine Fannin, are also Elder Lemons.
Booking not required.
