Join us for the launch of Dorothy Macardle’s The Unforeseen, a classic Irish novel set in 1938 in which we meet Virgilia Wilde, an Irish writer, gifted – or cursed – with the power of precognition. The follow-up to the critically acclaimed haunted-house novel The Uninvited is a sharply observed account of middle-class post-war Dublin, as well as a darkly prophetic forecast of things to come. With a new introduction by Luke Gibbons, The Unforeseen reaffirms Macardle as Ireland’s answer to Shirley Jackson. Join independent Dublin publisher Tramp Press to celebrate the fourth in their critically acclaimed ‘Recovered Voices’ series.

Booking not required, but please arrive 15 minutes early as places are limited.
